Understand our refund policy, 30-day trial, and consumer withdrawal rights

This Refund Policy explains our policy regarding refunds for payments made through the Teeachie platform. Please read this policy carefully before making any purchase.

Important: Except as required by law or as stated in the 30-day trial period, all payments are final and non-refundable. This includes:

  • Class packages (fixed number of sessions)
  • Subscription payments
  • One-time class payments
  • Group enrollment fees

We encourage all users to take full advantage of the 30-day trial period to ensure the platform meets their needs before making any payment commitments.

30-Day Trial Period

Trial Details

New users receive a 30-day trial period to explore and evaluate the Teeachie platform at no cost. During this trial:

  • You have full access to all platform features
  • No payment is required or processed
  • You can cancel at any time without any charges
  • No credit card information is required to start the trial

After Trial Period

After the 30-day trial period ends:

  • You must subscribe to a paid plan to continue using the platform
  • All payments become subject to our no-refund policy (except consumer withdrawal rights)
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time, but no refunds will be issued for the current billing period

Consumer Withdrawal Rights (Serbian Law)

14-Day Consumer Withdrawal Right

Important for Consumers: Under the Serbian Consumer Protection Act, consumers (individuals purchasing for personal, non-business use) have the right to withdraw from online purchases within 14 days without providing a reason.

This consumer right overrides our no-refund policy.

If you are a consumer and wish to exercise your withdrawal right, you must notify us at hello@teeachie.com within 14 days of your purchase.

Who Qualifies as a Consumer

You are considered a consumer if you are an individual (natural person) using the Platform primarily for personal purposes and not in the course of your trade, business, or profession. This can include students and some teachers, depending on how they use the Platform.

If you use the Platform primarily in connection with your trade, business, or profession, you are considered a business user and the business terms (including our general no-refund policy) apply.

How to Exercise Withdrawal Right

To withdraw from your purchase within the 14-day period:

  1. Send a clear withdrawal statement to hello@teeachie.com within 14 days of purchase
  2. Include the following information:
    • Your full name and email address used for the account
    • Date of purchase
    • Clear statement that you wish to withdraw from the purchase
    • Transaction reference number (if available)
  3. We will confirm receipt of your withdrawal request within 2 business days
  4. Refund processing: We will process your refund within 14 days of receiving your valid withdrawal request

Refund Processing

Processing Timeline

For valid refund requests (consumer withdrawal rights):

  • We will process approved refunds within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal request
  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method
  • Depending on your payment provider, it may take an additional 3-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account

Refund Method

Refunds are normally issued through our payment processor and returned to the original payment method used for the purchase. In exceptional cases (for example, if the payment processor is unable to process a refund), we may offer an alternative refund method such as bank transfer, which we will explain to you on a case-by-case basis.

Partial Refunds & Subscriptions

Class Packages

If you have purchased a class package and used some sessions:

  • Within 14-day consumer withdrawal period: Full refund if no classes have been completed; proportional refund for completed classes (charged at single class rate)
  • After 14-day period: No refunds available (for business users) or no partial refunds (for consumers)

For consumers, any partial refund calculations will comply with applicable consumer protection laws in your country, including the Serbian Consumer Protection Act where applicable.

Subscriptions

For monthly subscriptions:

  • Within 14-day consumer withdrawal period: Full refund for the current month
  • After 14-day period: No refunds for the current billing period; you can cancel to prevent future charges

How to Cancel Your Subscription

You can cancel your subscription at any time by:

  • Logging into your account and accessing subscription settings
  • Contacting us at hello@teeachie.com

When you cancel your subscription:

  • You will continue to have access until the end of your current billing period
  • No refund will be issued for the current billing period (unless within 14-day consumer withdrawal period)
  • You will not be charged for future billing periods
  • Your data will be retained according to our Privacy Policy

Exceptional Circumstances

Service Issues

If you experience significant technical issues that prevent you from using the platform, please contact us at hello@teeachie.com. We will work to resolve the issue or, at our discretion, may offer a refund or credit.

Duplicate Payments

If you were accidentally charged twice for the same purchase, we will refund the duplicate charge in full. Please contact us immediately with transaction details.

Unauthorized Charges

If you believe you were charged without authorization, please contact us immediately at hello@teeachie.com and also notify your payment provider. We will investigate and refund confirmed unauthorized charges.

Important - Chargebacks: If you file a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider without first contacting us:

  • Your account may be immediately suspended
  • You may be charged chargeback processing fees
  • We may pursue legal action to recover fees and damages
